Hello! I am a Certified Elementary Teacher and the founder of Learning Time! CLASSROOM. As a mother of four and former teacher, I have a true passion for teaching children. I founded Learning Time! CLASSROOM with one goal in mind: to create an engaging environment where students can thrive. I wholeheartedly believe that every child deserves a chance to discover their full potential. I strive to create a warm and nurturing environment that inspires children to explore, learn and grow.
I grew up in Clifton Park and am a graduate of Shenendehowa High School. I attended the UMass-Amherst where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education and Communications and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.

Mrs. Kristyn Alheim
Private Tutor (Elementary)
Hello! My name is Kristyn Alheim and I am currently a first grade teacher at Shenendehowa. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I recently received training in LETRS. This course is a professional learning course for instructors of reading, spelling, and related language skills. It provides educators with in-depth knowledge and tools that they can use with any reading program. LETRS helps educators understand “how” students learn to read and write, recognize the reasons “why” some students struggle, and determine “what” must be taught to increase student success. It is rooted in the Science of Reading (SOR). I also have 14+ years of experience in public and private education.
I grew up in Massachusetts and received my bachelors degree from Quinnipiac University where I met my husband. We then moved to Clifton Park to raise our family. I have a son and two daughters who keep me very busy. I love teaching and learning from my students. In my free time, I love to paddle board, golf and walk my dog, Bauer.

Mrs. Cheryl Rasmussen
Middle School Literacy Tutor
Hello! My name is Cheryl Rasmussen and I have been teaching for 22 years. I am currently a 6th grade teacher at O’Rourke Middle School in Burnt Hills, where I teach Literature and Social Studies. I also taught for 10 years as an elementary teacher at Mohonsen. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in English and Master’s Degree in Education. I grew up on Long Island but after graduating from Siena College and attending Saint Rose for my Masters, I met my husband, who is a principal at Ballston Spa, and we decided to stay up here and raise our family. We have four children ages 17, 16 and twin 13 year olds so during my “down time” I am busy running my crew around. As a kid I really struggled in school and always needed extra help. I learned the most through my tutors and really loved that one-on-one attention where I could ask all of the questions I didn’t feel I could ask in my classes. I am really looking forward to being a positive influence for your kiddo.
